2008 Malibu Motorcycle Works "Super Sled"

Current Status of Build:

Bike was completely assembled in November of 2009. Bike was disassembled for paint and powder coating. Frame, swingarm, etc are at the powder coaters now.

In early 2009 Lorna and I flew out to California to Malibu Motorcycle Works (Thousand Oaks, CA). We met with Michael Simshauser (owner of MMW) and looked at several of his bikes. After some debate we chose a 2008 MMW Super Sled.

This Super Sled has a 300mm rear tire, 45* neck, and a 21" front wheel. The bike has 52* total rake (7* in the triple tree) with an American Suspension front end. The American Suspension front end has internal brake lines with a built on caliper to the lower fork leg.
